I've probably missed some previous discussion about this before, but I'm a
bit concerned about the meaning of 'groups':  It seems to be used to mean
both domains to which a user belongs and channels to which a user is
subscribed in this protocol.  I'd prefer not to use the same word for two
different concepts here. (The proposed bot protocol makes yet another use
of the word 'group' to represent the class of bots to which a bot belongs,
I'll rename it to avoid overloading the word)
