oh, and one other thing i thought of, but didn't do anything about
yet:

if a user is running multiple presence clients, info requests will
generate multiple responses.  the spec should mention this, and i'd
suggest that clients ignore any presence information with a duration
longer than the duration of the last-received status ?

in other words, display the most recently changed information.
