Indeed, think about the current Chat / chat.world situation and all the 
hassle about federating Chat (and other channels) with ITEE.  Support 
for Distribution would have easily alleviated most the problems involved 
and left the actual solution to the discretion of the individual poster.

In fact, this concept may also improve the idea of the <username> 
channel if things were switched around to be the "personal" channel with 
Distribution <username>.
