If the logging app has presence support, what about having it send a
private message to a user when thery join the group letting them know
"Archives of this are available on the web at ....". That would both
advertise the usefulness of the approach, as well as warn people. :-)
As Ian pointed out, this does exclude those with presence support, but
even that could be detected by keeping a list of who has been
"notified" and who has posted. So that those who publish a message are
sent a notice.
Ideas?
