Seems like a good idea. Unfortunately it's not a trivial thing to add, since right now the logger only emits presence info, it doesn't consume it. To implement the welcome message feature, it would have to track other's presence status and ticker group sets. It's not out of the question, since a lot of of that could be provided by the existing Sticker presence components, but since this isn't an official project any more I'd have to find some idle time to do it in.
